Shalom! Glad to meet you! I'm David Schoenfeld. I'll be your Tour Planner and Guide as we travel together throughout this great country!

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I attended and graduated from Jewish day schools in Los Angeles - Hillel Hebrew Academy elementary school and Rambam Torah Institute high school.

I grew up in a conservative/orthodox environment. I attended both Camp Ramah in Ojai and Camp Moshava in Big Bear (I still remember all the camp songs!). During high school I was very involved in Bnei Akiva , a Religious Zionist Youth Movement , as a counselor and chapter leader. After graduating high school I spent two years in Israel ; first on the Bnei Akiva Hachshara Program on Kibbutz Saad , and then at Yeshivat Merkaz Harav in Jerusalem. Both programs contributed greatly to my knowledge and understanding of the Israeli Experience.

After completing my B.Sc. from Cal St. Univ. Northridge, I moved for a year to Kibbutz Tirat Tzvi, and then to Jerusalem for one more year. I then returned to L. A and became the Director of Bnei Akiva - Camp Moshava on the West Coast.

I have spent many years involved in youth and kid friendly activities. As a Camp director, it was my responsibility to make sure that everyone learned about Israel ; and had a fun and interesting time doing so. I was very involved in helping kids learn and define for themselves what it means to be a Jew both in Israel and abroad. It is this vast experience that I bring to my tours.

Today, married with 4 children in Givat Zev, I understand and can relate to the needs of the traveling family - Flexibility is the key!

I will do my best to give you and your family the utmost educational experience , as well as fill the days with fun activities, challenging discussions, great stories, exciting tour sites and more.
